Burning Ambition

(Ah! Sorry. Yes, I meant me charrie. Grr, bad! *smacks hand* Sorry about that. Haven't been getting much sleep lately - brain not functioining!)

"Hey, I'm ready for another meal!" Mark yelled from the studio, setting his guitar down carefully.

"Is it going to be cooked this time or are you just going to take a cow from some field?" Derren joked. But he was hungry. "Okay, let's get some food!"

Mark followed in pursuit. "So.., where we headin?" He asked.

Jeni shruged "Don't know. I want sushi though." she said with a smile, "It just sounds really good right about now." she said

Mark nodded, smiling. "As long as it's some type of meat."

Just as Derren was about to leave, Bex walked in. "Don't talk to me, I'm going to bed," she said before anyone had a chance to speak to her. She zoomed to her bedroom, hoping that nobody had glimpsed what was wrong with her.
"That was weird," Derren muttered. "But I'm up for anything. Meat is fine."

Sota sighed watching her go.
Jeni looked over to him "Uh..hey sota, wanna join us?" she asked him.
Sota smiled "Nah. I think I'm going to hang around here a bit." he said and picked up the garage a bit. If Bex needed someone he wanted to be there for her.
Jeni nodded and took the arm of both Mat and Derren as they walked.

Derren shook his head. "I have crazy friends," he said lightly.

Jeni just grinned up at him "You only do because your crazy." she reasured him.

Sota steped into the hall a bit that lead to Bex's room "Hey. Are you hungry?" he called to her. He was and he wanted to see if she wanted food sence he was making some anyway.

There was no answer from Bex's room. Because she asn't there. A squealing of car tires, Bex's car speeding down the road. She had climbed out her window and taken her car and left.

Sota sighed and went to the kitchen starting the food. It was hard to get close to Bex, he knew that she did care for him (how much was unknown) but somtimes he couldn't help to think she just plain out didn't like him at all. He knew better. He didn't want to go home, home wasnt the best of all places for him, so he bummed out in the living room, knowing it would be a bit till anyone came back home.

"Ah," Mark started, eyes narrowing in a rather seductive way. "Jeni," He said suddenly, the words coming out honey-tongued. Why hadn't he noticed it before? This girl was absolutely gorgeous! All the thoughts of meat fled from his mind as he leaned forward, smirking. What a beautiful neck... He thought.

Derren laughed. It seemed everyone thought Jeni was beautiful, including Bex.

Bex didn't know what she was doing, how to take control of herself before it was too late. Thankfully her uncle was out, probably at the shops or his current girlfriend's place. He wouldn't be back for at least an hour, she guesstimated. Enough time to cover her tracks and get back home.

Jeni leaned away from him a bit, startled at his sudden action "Um..yeah?" she asked, he was acting..not himself.

"Hi." He purred gently, leaning forward again.

"O-kaayy," Derren said, laughed a little nervously at his friend's actions. He tried to shrug it off, taking one of them on either side of him, linking his arms through their's. He tried to pull them along, urging them further.

Jeni felt relived that she was pulled away from him and sighed. she liked Mark, he was a good friend, but he was coming on WAy to strong. She just wansn't use to it, not in the lest.

Mark sniffed the air and turned to Derren, eyes widening. He felt his mouth water but kept it shut. I'm not gay! He reassured himself but still felt a strange thirst.

Derren gave Mark a slightly weird look, somewhere between don't go there with me and are you feeling okay. "We're just hungry, let's get some food." He dragged them across the street to a chinese shop.
(Just for you Doom, I know you like Chinese food XD)

Jeni sighed, food would help her think and hopfully the same with her friends. she scratched at an itch behind her head realizing how long her nails where and making a mentle note to cut them once home.

Mark twisted a little in Derren's grip but continued to walk, even if just a little faster. He was eager to start smelling the chinese.

Derren just stepped onto the pavement as Bex's car screamed round the corner. If he had managed too glimpse her inside the car, he would have seen she was crying. But he didn't see her.

Jeni looked at the car and waved with her free hand, maybe Bex would want to join them. Than she wouldn't be the only female in this three person crowd.

Mark didn't notice, his eyes glued forward, ready for food.

Derren began ordering, glad he hadn't been run over by a bandmate but also hungry.

Bex slammed into the house, half hoping someone would be there and half dreading the same thing.

Jeni happily ordered to, more hungry than she'd realized. she could eat alot for being such a small girl.

sota jumped at the sound of a car and sat up yawning, he'd fallen asleep without reazliing it. he wondered if bex ws home and if so, where she'd gone.

Mark squinted his eyes a little. Why did he suddenly feel a bit too hot? "Ah, is it just me or is this place awfully toasty?"

"I think it's just you, mate," Derren told him. It was a little warm in there, but not noticably so.

Bex came in and found Sota. She looked angry, then rushed over and cuddled up to him! She began to cry again. "I ate my uncle's dog," she whimpered.

jeni nodded "Yep. All you." she told him smiling, but the smel of food was getting at her.

sota was startled at this for a couple reasons, but the two main ones were the fact she'd suddenly burt int' tears and cuddleing, and the other her statement 'Did she say Ate a dog?' he asked himself but put his arms around her, giving her his chest to cry in. "Its ok sweets, calm donw." he told her softly, wondering if he'd heard right.

"But it was so fluffy..." She tucked her knees up to her chest, her arms wrapped around Sota's waist. "I couldn't help myself! So white and fluffy, like a little marshmallow!" Bex broke down into tears again.

sota blanched "so..so you actuallydid eat it?" he asked, starlted she actually did such a thing, the than realized these were the wrong wordes and hurridly made up for them. Agreeing that it did look very much like a marshmellow and that he didn' think of her in any less of away and taht she wasnt a bad person and such. He rubbed her back, rocking her slighlty, all the while giving her comforting words and sounds.

"I ate it, and burried what was left under his tomatoes." She continued to sob and sob. Sota's clothes were getting very wet.

Its was uncomfortable to have a wet shirt on but he'd gladly put up with it to let Bex cry her eyes out, she hardly shared her feelings and it worried him. He was glad he'd stayed "Shh, its ok. Its was annoying little pest anyway." he said trying to get her to smile or laugh despite her crying.

"But he loved that dog! It was his baby. He dressed it up," she replied miserably. She seemed exhausted.

"We could say it was ran over or somthing, and than I could offer to find him a new dog. I know a friend who has scottie puppies, thery are much more toratable than that little dog." he said and continued to softly rock her, letting her cry her eyes out on his shirt.

Bex didn't answer; she had fallen to sleep.

Derren caught a glimpse of the calendar in the Chinese shop. "What the hell...?" It read the wrong date. He glanced at his watch to vindicate him. It told him that the calendar was right. It was three days later than it should have been. He'd lost three days of his life...

sota looked down at her and smiled, he was glad she was getting some rest. It sounded like she needed it. He tried to pick her up gently, having plans to lay her on her bed.

Jeni frowned "what is it?" she asked.

Derren frowned too. "Well, it looks like we've lost three days of out of our lives. What do your phones say? Mine's out of batteries." Well, it would be after three days, wouldn't it.

Mark took out his cell phone and flipped to the calender. The key chains connected to it jingled a little, making Mark grin a strange half smile. He blinked once or twice and frowned. "How is that possible?" He asked them both, clearly confused.

"It's not just me, is it?" Derren said. "We've lost three days of our lives!"

Jeni took out her phone and hit a few dials, frowning as well "How...how is taht possible? We would have reaized.."

"Holy sh**, this f*** voodoo jewelry is really doing stuff to us!" Mark yelled and stood up. Everyone in the restaurant glared at him, making him sink back down in his seat. "I told you!" He hissed at them. "I t-told you this would happen!"

She glared at him "No you didn't. you told us this whacked out story about thinking it was cursed and scaring the crap out of most of us. I though we went over this already ok. ITs not cursed its just jewrley." she snaped, not wanting to go over this again. She sighed than looked down at her menu "Sorry. I just don't want to go through thta agin ok? Theres nothing wrong with the jewery I'm sure, its just another freaky thing. So what if none of us can get the jewery off and three days have gone by. We were high for who knows how long, I say its the stuff we got that made use lose those days."

"I've never heard of that happening, not to all of us anyway. I'm sure there's a more reasonable explanation than cursed jewellery, but there's definitely something going on," Derren said, eyeing both of his friends. "But the last thing we need to do is panic, ok? We need to keep our heads screwed on tight and stay calm."

Jeni frowned, she hoped taht was possible for them all. for her herself she could handle it she was sure...than again she was being a bit more snippity than she was usually, mostly she was a quite person. She sat thre thinking, eating the seaseme seeds without really thinking.

Mark nodded and continued to eat his lo mein. It didn't taste the same, though, so eventually he just stopped eating all together.

"Gee, you guys are a barrel or laughs," Derren said sarcastically. "Are you two feeling okay?"
