The Shared Realm

"So... What brings you here, Dominic?" Cellena asked.

Dominic's dark eyes flicked to Cellena. "I was just on my way home," he said, purposely leaving out the part where he was lost. He was the only one who was alone here, and if he didn't have any weapons one Vampire alone could take him and win, hands down. Dominic had his weapons with him, but he wouldn't be able to fend all of them off.
That was one of the worst things about being a Half-breed; some people would attack you simply because they hated Half-breeds. It had happened before. Last time he had gone to Raan city a couple of teenagers had thrown rocks at him. Or they had tried to until their parent had hit them both over the head. That was after dominic slammed one of them against a wall and threatened to kill him.
Wow, I'm really a very bad person, Dominic thought as he reflected on this memory.
"Anyway, I should leave now," Dominic announced to the group.

"D'aw... why?" Lyreh pouted, still sounding cheery.

Dominic struggled to think on his feet. He failed horribly.

"So... Whats your reason to leave?" Asked Cellena.

Dominic figured that it was obvious to the group that he had no reason to leave.
"Wait," he said in reply to Cellena's question. "I'm trying to think of a suitable lie to tell you." He said it with a smile to indicate that he meant them all no harm.

Lyreh laughed, climbing onto Terpt's back. "Well... nice to meet you and all, but me and Terpt here have to attend to our business. See ya!" She smiled widely, tugging slightly on Terpt's hair to turn him around.

"May we assist you?" Asked Cellena. "We need to teach the new member lots. And we won't get in your way."

Dominic turned his face away from Cellena and her little group.
"There's nothing I can teach you," he said softly, in a slightly sad way.

Lyreh stopped Terpt, glancing back at Dominic. "Why?" she asked, then glancing back at Cellena. "I... guess you could come with us, but this is meant to be just between us two." She motioned towards the Centaur, who once again, issued a grunt.

Dominic was surprised, to say the least. Not many people wished to be associated with him, except other Half-breeds and they only got together to bitch about the discrimination they faced every day. Dominic couldn't stand them.
"If it was just supposed to be between you two, I don't want to intrude..."

"No, we couldn,t do that, anyway, Dominic, What species are you, you can't be human. So... what are you? We won't make fun if you're different." Cellena asked.

Dominic fixed his eyes on Cellena's. He would not show the fear he was feeling.
"I am a Half-breed. I am half Human, half Angel. Laugh if you will," he said defiantly. There was no way he would be pushed around by a bunch of Vampires. He had never hidden the fact that he was a Half-breed. NEver really been able to.

"Ok... Yo know, I once was best friends with a half breed, he was half angel half human. He was my best friend, then someone came up to us oneday and mudered him. Thats one reason why I'm a hunter." Cellena said.

Dominic snorted. "I'm no Angel," he said darkly.
He was, in fact, half Angel. But he shunned this side of his life along with his Human side. In his own eyes, Dominic had no breed. He was just a Hunter. That was what he had been born to do.

Groven started to act strange. He was only half vampire, but the others did not know this. He looked like a full vampire,so he thought that it would be ok.

(We should wait for Kalliah.)

(We didn't type to much so she can catch up so we should stop now.)

Lyreh smiled, her stare fixing over to Groven. "It's okay..." she muttered, "You can come along with us."

"Thanks!" Replied Cellena. Groven was still acting up.

Dominic frowned. What was Groven's problem?
"So.. What do you people do to occupy yourselves?" the Half-breed asked the group.

"I'm a hunter and Groven, my twitchy friend, is my assistant. Rondan is a new guy and we don't know him very well." Replied Cellena.

Lyreh, this time, didn't say anything. Neither did Terpt.

Cellena could hear him muttering now and dragged him away. "Whats wrong?" She asked. "*Twitch* Are you guys sure you don't mind half breeds?" Groven asked. "why? Are you a half breed?" Cellena asked. "Maybe.... " Groven replied. Cellena knew that he was at this point.

Dominic listened to the conversation with interest. So he wasn't the only Half-breed in the small group...

"So your a half breed?" She asked queiter because she noticed Dominic listning to them. "Yes, but promise not to tell anyone else." Groven begged.

Dominic wandered casually up to Groven.
"Who else knows about you being a Half-breed?" he asked in a relaxed manner. "And how did you hide it?"

"No one knows that I'm a half-breed other than you two. I hid it because I have all the characteristics to be a full vampire, so I thought that I could pass as one." he said.

Dominic smiled and laughed a little. "Well done," he congratulated Groven quietly..
Beat the system, beat them, he chuckled to himself.

"Thanks, I knew that people would find out sooner or later. Its good to see I'm not alone when they found out." Groven quietly laughed.

"And at least you were in good company," said Dominic, nodding in Celena's direction. He thought about his own Vampire. She wouldn't understand any of this.

"I never would have geussed, you're a very good actor." Cellena added.

No amount of acting would hide Dominic's heritage.
"I was quite convinced too," he said. Then he asked, "What clan are you two from?"

"We are from the clan that made the cream for vampires so that they can stay out in the sun for a while because it increses their stuff that makes them able to last n the sun. The clan is called shaders clan." Cellena said confused.

Dominic thought quietly for a few seconds. He had never really had that much to do with the Shaders clan. He knew, at least, that they weren't fighting with the Scathers and that was a good thing. Vampires could smell the difference between clans and Dominic probably had Scather scent all over him. Dominic knew lots of Scather members personally. He was close to the clan.
"Which region do the Shaders occupy?"

"They are a very confusing clan, many people wish to take our money, we can't stay in a large group." Cellena said.

"Ah," Dominic murmured. There were some clans like this.
"Why did you become a hunter?"

"My parents were hunters and then a creature came and killed them. I dedicated my life to avenge them." Cellena said more quietly.

Dominic nodded sympathetically. "Do you know what kind of creature killed them?" he asked the Vampire.

"I have an idea but I have never seen one with my own eyes, its believed to be a myth." Cellena said.

"Just because it's thought to be a myth doesn't mean it isn't real," said the Half-breed. It was true, too; Human thought that Vampires or Werewolves were just fairy tales, but that wasn't the truth at all.

"Its never been seen other than 1 person. I hope its not true, its a bloody fight if it is." Cellena hissed.

Dominic raise his eyebrow. "Who was the one person who saw it?" he asked, his curiosity taking over.

"Someone who passed over 1000 years ago. Thats why I think its not really true, but it still could be." Cellena reaplied.

"How did they describe it?"

"Its a shapeshifter. Only one has seen its true form. Which is that person. Others claim to see it as a vampire or dragon. No one is sure though" cellena looked away from Dominic.

Dominic assumed it was a different type of shape shifter than the ones who inhabited the lower Tenriekk forest. It was an unbelieveably enormous forest in a land so cold that almos nothing could survue, except for some species of trees and some animals. And the shape shifters. More commonly known as Morphs.
"If it did kill your parents, what form did it take when it killed them?"

"To tell you the truth, I wasn't there. I was out with Groven. We had only just met. We were getting to know each other and then I got a call." Cellena said blushing slightly.

"But surely they could tell by the marks left on the bodies?" he asked.

"Not a scrap was left... They were gone." Cellena began to get teary but wiped them away.
