Funky Holiday Schedules

You ever look on your school calendar to find that during this week, you have one day off flat out in the middle of the week? =| And then there's those funky schedules on when you have a fall break, winter break, etc. etc.

No... I've never noticed that.

Yah, usually they postpone a major holiday on a Friday or a Monday so that we have extended weekends. That's how it worked in the USA anyway XD Now, I look at the calendar, and I have holidays popping up on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. D8

We were having lots of half-days because the teachers were threatening to go on strike.

Our teachers went on strike during second grade and we had a whole other unplanned three week break 8D However, nowadays, we don't even get half days. T_T

We had one last Wednesday.

DX We used to get those on tuesdays in Private School last year... Fridays would kind of be a half day too. On Tuesday's, we'd end school at noon. ^^ Fridays, we'd be released a couple minutes earlier than usual.

Ya... You lucky thing.

I want to move there.

Hawaii? Or Germany?

To where ever they give me half days every week.

Actually, here in Germany, they give you the choice to leave at noon or later.

Oh, why does New Zealand want so badly to educate its future?! Just let us leave early!

XD I know, ain't it torture? D8 And we don't even have recess anymore, it's just a forty minute lunch. That's screwed.

I knows... Isn't it better for the kids to have a recess? It's like a brain refresher, right?

D8 I knows... the school system's really effed up nowadays... they just take things to far and put way too many restrictions!

... I wonder what they would do if every student in school went on strike???

XD Why would they have reasons to go on strike? *Ahem* Nvm, there's thousands of reasons why they'd do that. XD Um... then the students would kind of overpower the adults... and maybe the authorities might be called. D8

True, true. But... eh, that'll probably be when the school system gets real effed up... if it's not already... ._.
