Psst. Hey, you. Yeah, you. No, not the guy behind you. I mean you. Don't look at me like that. It isn't my fault I look like this. Just shut up and listen to me for a while. I need to spread the truth, no matter what the others say. Just listen, please.
Technology has come pretty far. By this point, they would be able to make human/animal hybrids. The only thing stopping them is their morals. But of course, there'll always be scientists without morals.
These are the people I found myself at the mercy of. Not me alone, no. There were many of us. And we were all identical twins. There was me and Angel. But they took her away.
I think that was also part of the experiment. Sometimes they'd take a twin away. And the remaining twin almost always died a few weeks later. Some survived, but they were never the same. The stopped talking, eating, sleeping. Two of them lost it completely and began attacking people. Only one survived unchanged. And he was beaten to death by some staff members.
They weren't very nice people, most of the ones who were looking after us and studying us. They often hit us, or mistreated us in other ways.
You see, we are human/animal hybrids. The scientists created us and other scientists studied us. We never even left the building. The only time we ever even went outside was during mandatory excercise. So we were pretty oblivious to the rest of the world. And the world to us.
But I'm on a tangent here.
We have animalistic features. It varies from pair to pair, and sometimes even within the pairs of twins themselves. The younger kids have more specialised bodies; the older people were only slightly changed, just some key features. The hybrids got better as the scientists who were makin them got better.
There were a lot of us, too. Not just half a dozen or so; closer to a hundred, maybe even two hundred. A lot of us.
And we all wanted to get out.















Name: Demon
Age: 17 turning 18 soon.
Gender: Female
Species: Bat hybrid
Appearance: Average height, really short black hair. Her fingers are elongated and her arms also serve as bat wings. She cannot fly on them. She has pointed ears and a wide vocal range. She has slightly worse than average eyesight so wears grey-tinted glasses to fix this.
History: She was created when the scientists were still trying to get everything to work properly. So that's why she doesn't have very prominent bat features.
Twin: Angel. Angel was her twin sister, but instead of bat wings Angel had bird feathers coming from her arms. She could not fly on those wings either. She was taken away not long ago and now the scientists are waiting for demon to die.

Name: Sun
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Species: Golden Eagle hybrid
Appearance: Has huge wings of a golden eagle has feet adapted to montain range. So quite rough. Hair is sun bleched and changed from dark curly brown to soft staight blode. Not very tall but quite slender. Mouth did not change to eagle but eyesight improved and eyes now look more agresive.
History: Quite a new experiment. She was changed to see how twin would do without her because she is night bird.
Twin: Moon. Is owl hybrid

Name: Moon
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Species: Owl hybrid
Apperence: Has owl wings which do allow her to fly. Eyesight has improved to see at night. Has black owl wings with a few shimering white feathers. Skin also turned quite black in experiment which scientist found quite strange. Over than that, same as sister before birdanations.
History: Same as twin.
Twin: Sun. Is golden eagle hybrid.

Demon sat down in the cafeteria. He elongated fingers wrapped around the tray she was carrying as she sat down at the table where all the hybrids without twins placed themselves.
Then she saw Fang.
"What are you doing here?!" she demanded. Only those who didn't have twins were here, so that meant...
"Vixen's gone," he said simply. His pointed ears flicked under his ginger hair. Fang and Vixen were fox hybrids. They were 16, younger than Demon, but they had always handled things better than her, always been more mature. And now, Vixen, Demon's closest friend, was gone...
Baby came and sat next to Demon. Demon had given Baby her name. Everyine got their names somehow, either they were dubbed something by the other people or they named themselves. Some 30-something year old twin pair had given Angel and Demon their names. Since Angel had gone, a couple of weeks ago, Demon had adopted Baby. It was because Baby reminded her so much of Angel. Baby had the same animal genes in her, falcon, and looked so much like Angel it wasn't funny. But instead of feathers coming from her arms, she had proper wings extending from her back. Baby had a twin, but the twin (who's name Demon always forgot) had special people lookoing after her. She had owl genes, and they had tried to enhance her night-sight. Now she was blind.
Demon figured that her and Baby were a pretty good match. Baby was Demon's baby, a baby Angel. She was about six, and stuck with Demon like her shadow. Demon loved her.

Moon and Sun were complete opisites. One loved the sun, while the other loved the moon. I bet you can guess which one. That is how they got thier names. Even though they were different, they always stuck together no matter what. If they tried to take the other away, they wold atack the people or fly off.

One morning, when Moon woke up, Sun was not next to her. Moon knowing that sun would never leave without her, Started to worry. She jumped out of bed and ran to the cafaterria. There were some others there. "Moon, Suns gone. They took her away while you were sleeping." Said one of them. Moon amedetly colasped to the floor and started toget tears running down her cheeks.

Demon watched as Moon collapsed on the floor. She knew exactly what she was feeling. Demon's reaction had been even worse when she had found Angel missing. Shudders ran along her spine just thinking about it.
She wrapped her winged arms around Baby, almost as if that could protect her from the horror of this place.
"Don't look, baby Baby," she said softly.

In a far away place, Sun was crying. She did not know where her twin was or where she was. It was dark, she felt alone.

Moon at this point was curling up in a ball a wimpering, even thoug she knew where she was, she was lost without her sister.

Demon saw that nobody else was going to go anything; not that many people were even watching, this happened so much.
"Baby, stay here with Fang, Baby," she said softly to the little girl. Baby nodded.
Demon strode over to Moon.
"Hey, get up. You'll get tranked if you carry on like this," she said roughly, but kindly.

"I know, its just, we've never been apart before, and i'd ratter die than stay here anymore!" She screamed back at Deamon not really aiming it at her but she was the only one there.

"Yeah, well, if you do get tranked too much you will die, so just shut up and behave," Demon snapped. Since Angel had gone, she had been... not nice.

Moon wanted to punch Deamons face but he knew that she was right. So she shut up and walked to the table with only the twins who had the other missing.

"Hi, Baby, I'm back, Baby," Demon said to Baby. She liked to say Baby's name, she didn't know why.

Someof the others were looking at her strange. Then Moon thought she heard sun's voice. She went crazy searching everywhere to find her. She wasn't there.

"Calm down, would you?" Demon hissed when she noticed that many of the staff members were looking at them. At Moon. Some even had their trank needles.

Moon ran to the staff members and tried to pry one of the needles out of their hand so she could kill herself. The staff member was to strong and threw her off. The staff injected her.

She woke up a few hours later. She was in a strange room.

Demon watched sadly as Moon was knocked unconscious. That girl would wake up with a horrible headache and stiff limbs. She would be in so much pain...
"Don't cry, Baby. It's okay Baby, she'll be okay Baby," Demon cooed to her tiny companion.

She woke up. She could barly move, the pain was to incrusiating. She heard Suns voice again... She new she was just hearing things. But then she heard it again. She turned to her side slowly because She was in a bed on the other side of the room. Moon got all her stregnth and waked other there to see her parted sister. "Moon?" Sun Said. She jumped up and grabbed Moon. "I missed you so much." Sun said eventhough it had only been a few hours.

Baby's blind sister was guided into the room by Miss Dervan. Miss Dervan was one of the nicer nurses, and Demon was glad she was looking after Baby and her twin.

"What have they done to you!?" Asked Moon. "I heard from someone else that they take a twin away and what for them to die because they die when there apart." Sun replied.

A little later, (at just about the same time when Sun and Moon were talking,) Demon was going to class. It was not compulsary that she go, as she was over fifteen, but she often when anyway.
She would sit and learn the same things she had already been told, fractions, grammar, social studies... But it was something to do, at least. Something to keep her mind off of Angel.

The scientists came in. They were observing the way the two twins acted when being taken apart then be put back together.

Demon sat in class, her mind not even on her work. She was surrounded by younger children, some she knew, some she didn't. She couldn't help thinking about Moon. Getting tranked was horrible.

Species: Raven (isnt that ironic)
Appearance: he is very humanoid aprt from some featchers like he has a Raven like head and sharp tellon hands and feathery arms and legs. also hase clawed head
History: has had trouple walking since he pop out of that tube but no has mastered his feat and can move with increadable speed and stealth
Twin: his twin is Shadow

Name: Shadow
Age:14
Gender:male
Species:black panther
Appearance: same layout as Raven but panther head claw hands and pad feat
History: same as Raven in it own way (hehe ones a cat and ones a bird hehe)
Twin: Raven

Sun and Moon were staring at the scientist. He had a clipboard and paper.

Raven and Shadow are out casts there only freinds where each other.
they where sitting in class not doing work as usal. raven sore demon on the other side of the room he all ways liked her because she was one of the few who wasnt mean to him because of his feat. he had never had the courage to tslk to her fully and Shado always laughed at this.
"hay raven get ur eyes of her an listen to me"wisperd Shadow "we are going to go to the gym after class aright"
"i dont want those men in wight to get us"
Shure thing"said Raven still no paying attention.

Sun was never going to let Moon go again. They were together and thats what was important.

Demon spotted Raven staring at her. She smiled and gave him a little wave, when one of the whitecoats walked into the room. Demon froze. She felt his eyes on her.
He walked over to her. Demon saw that he had a trank syringe in his hand.
"Will you come with me." It was an order not a request. Demon stood, trembling, aware of the entire room's attention on her.
The whitecoat took her arm and guided her along a hallway, one she hadn't been down very often. Demon was scared. She had no problem admitting that.

Sun saw the man aproach them. She was not going to just lest her twin go after hearing what she went though to get to her. He grabbed Moon and took her to the other bed. He straped her down. She was still weak so she couldn't fight back. Sun was running after her sister, then the man grabbed her and straped her to her bed. She was screaming at the man.

Raven sore as they toke deamon away
"hay sorry but i cant go to the gym"he said to Shadow
he stood up fast and was out of the room following Demon be for he could answer.
he wasnt going to let anything happen to her

Both girls were screaming so loud. They just wanted to be let go. The man wrote this information down and then let the straps on Moon go. She ran to Moon and set her free. They made it to the door, it was locked.

Demon was strapped to a table.
"Now, one-seven-five, I want you to relax. Don;t be scared. You're perfectly safe," said the whitecoat in a voice that was the complete opposite to comforting.
"We're going to take some blood. It won't hurt at all."
We're? Demon glanced around and spotted another whitecoat in the room.
A needle was jabbed into her arm and blood was taken. Demon watched the blood as it was sucked into the clear glass chamber.

they were now seacrhing a way to escape. The man was trying to catch them but they would either fly away or out run him until he was too tired and had to call for assistance.

Raven did wat he did best and was keeping to the shadows
some how he got into the same room as Deman and was watching wat they where doing
he just wanted to stop them and free Deamon but was afraid of the "men in white"
he was also thinking of Shadow alone...again

The new man came in and grabbed Sun, she asked, beged to be let go with her sister.

The whitecoat left the room, Demoe guessed to study the blood sample.
Several minutes he came back again and began talking excitedly to the other whitecoat. Demon heard random snatches of conversation.
"Not changed... Lower wh... count th...but otherw...slightly anem..."
"Wait...long! Didn't think...after the seven-five incident..."
Seven-five. Seven-five had also been known as Dragon, as he was spliced with a komodo dragon. Very clever name. Ha ha. But he had also been the only one to survive after being separated from his twin. He had, if anything, become braver, stronger. He had managed to get in a fight with one of the staff members, though, and... Well, the guy hit him a few too many times. Dragon died from his injuries, not the loss of his twin. Demon had been nine when it happened.
But what did he have to do with Demon?

Raven herd wat the white where talking about but made no clue of it.
while the whites where out of the room he wispers to Demon. "over hear"
he hope Shadow is alright he sepends alot of time away from him. at first he felt sick but no he doesnt feel any sickness at all from being away from him.
"he wispers again to demon "need some help over there"

The man saw the tears in Sun's eyes. He saw how depressed she was. He said back calmly "Its ok. You'll be sent back. As soon as we do these last few experiments."

"Raven? You could get in a lot of trouble! What are you doing here?" Demon whispered frantically.
"Maybe...reduce...levels more..."
"No. Could di...should try...aze test."
"...st? Ye...ould work...ike to try..."
Maze test?
"I think I may need some help, actually," Demon whispered. The maze test was bad, very bad. It was dangerous in the maze tests. People had died in them before.
But how would Raven getting her out of the frying pan and into the fire help? the whitecoats could get her antwhere in the building.

Raven thinks hard of wat he can do
"if i nock the gards out and then free you then wen the question us we could say they triped and fell on the tranks".
as soon as the gards come back into the room Raven, with the most stelth he has ever had, sneaks up behind the gards and with one swift movement he takes the tranks from there belt and thrusts them into there back.
he ran over to Demon and freed her with his sharp tellons.
he knew wat the maze test was...

After some very long examinations, Sun and Moon saw a man leave. The door did not fully shut. Moon noticed this and grabbed Sun's arm and made a run for it. The two didn't know where they were. They ran and ran because they new that man would find them soon. Untill they got to a famillier place. They were safe, almost. There were so many people there, some of them stared while others didn't even know what had hppened.

"Thanks for getting me out, Raven," said Demon softly. "But... What now? They'll know they didn't fall on their tranks. They'll be able to get us, no matter where we go in this building."
She was scared about what the future held, but Demon didn't display it. She always accepted everything with casual submission. She wasn't a fighter. And since Angel had gone, Demon had felt so lethargic...
"Any ideas?"

Sun and Moon saw Deamon and someone they had never really noticed before. They ran up to them and told them what had happened. "We were being strapped down all the time. and they kept trying to seperate us." Said sun.

Demon looked at them flatly while they explained.
"There's nothing you can do in about this kind of stuff in this place," she told them. But, in her mind, a small voice asked her, do you really want Baby to grow up in a place like this?
No. Demon didn't care what happened to her, really, but Baby, her Baby, she cared about very much. She couldn't stand it if anything happened to Baby.

Sun and Moon noticed the men searching the crowd.

Raven spke for the first time since they got out of the room.
"me and Shadow are fighters till the end"
"we need to start a rebelion, round up as many people as we can and start organise our selfs and find a way out"
Raven new it was a stupid idea but wat else was there. Him and Shadow had been talking about this for awhile but nobody liked them to even talk to them

"If theres a biggroup, we more can escape, but if its a small group, we can escape without being noticed and we could come back and help the others." Sun said.

"Keep quiet about this," warned Demon. She had just decided to try to escape too, if only for Baby's sake.
"You never know who's listening. We have to alert everyone, get everyone on our side. Convince them...Who's with me?" she asked, putting her left hand in the middle of the small circle that had formed.
