The Real World

Frankie blinked. "Oh, hello." She beamed, giving the all a coy smile.

Jeremy laughed. "Hey, fancy seeing you here!" he said with a smile.

Tilly smiled "Hey again."
Chris came out with a sandwhich "hello all."
"Frankie. This is TIlly and Chris. Guys this is Frankie." he introduced.
Tilly nodded "Nice to meet you." Chris nodded aswell, mouth full of sandwhich.

Frankie waved shyly. "Um, where's the bathroom?" She asked.

"OH. Right down the hall and hang a left." Blink told her pointed doward it "Um...I'll get you some clothes." he said and started for his bedroom
Tilly raised an eyebrow "Clothes?"

She nodded and started down the hallway. The sound of a door shutting echoed throughout the house, indicating she was in the bathroom.

Jeremy nodded. "They ran into a bit of trouble, and almost a car, too. She ran into me, and cake happened," he said, his mind on other things.

Blink grabbed an oversided shirt and some sweat pants for her and knocked on the door "Um..I have some clothes."

Tilly frowned hardly following him "Um...ok...are you hungry? Theres probably food in here somewhere but...good luck finding it." she said with a sigh.

"What are you talking about? Theres plenty." Chris said "You just have to make it."

She frowned at him "I don't cook."

Jeremy raised his hand gingerly. "I do," he said.

The door creaked open. "Don't look!" Frankie hissed, clearly embarrassed, and took the clothes in her hands.

"Oh but that was going to be my reward I thought." he told her with a laugh "I won't" he promised and left when the door closed.

Tilly grinned "REally? Would you mind horrable if you cooked somthing up. I'm a gowing girl after all, i need nerishment." she said.

Chris looked her over "Growing is right." he said smoothly. She glared at him.

"Ah, I can try... What did you have in mind?" Jeremy asked. "I have to make a cake, too," he added.

Frankie walked back into the room, blushing furiously. Of course, the shirt was to big and kept slipping down her shoulders. She didn't even need the pants. Her black and purple stockings to care of that job. "D-Don't you dare laugh, or I'll make sure it's the last sound you'll ever make!" She told them, still blushing.

Tilly shruged, "whatever you want I supose. I"m not picky." she smiled at Frankie "Wouldn't dare."

Blink smiled "Hey, i never laugh at a woman whos wearing my clothes." he told her with a wink than smiled at Tily "So doll. Shall I show you my bedroom?" he asked smoothly.

She glared at him "I'm not your doll and that would be a no." she asid simply.

Chris laughed than shut up quickly "I was laughing at them not you." he assured frankie before she could strike a muarders blow.

She nodded, feeling reassured. "Do you have any pets?" She asked suddenly, putting a finger to her lips and leaning forward.

"Um...I have a cat around here somwheres. A siamease." he told her.

Chris smiled "Tilly has two pets." he said smirking at her.

"Alright enough with the boob jokes. If I get one more out of you I'll beat the crap out of you before you even have a chance to fight in the ring." she told him giving him a rather leathel glare.
Chris shut up quickly.

Frankie smiled and rolled her eyes. "Wait..., ring?" She asked, confused. "What do you mean by fighting?" She demanded.

Jeremy tried very hard to smother a laugh at Frankie's appearance. He answered her; "They fight, you know, street boxing, I think that's what it's called." The boy began to look for the kitchen.

Chris pointed behind him "Kitchen." he said simply.

Tilly nodded "Yeah. I run it and switch is one of the figheters."

"I'm his trainer." blink said proudly.

"Only because hes to cowardly to fight himself." She teased.

"That's horr-" Frankie started but caught herself. "I-I mean, cool." She stated simply, turning away.

Blink frowned at her "Whats wrong?" he asked. He could tell somthing was botherign her.

Chris just leaned back, feeling better after his sanwhich.

"It's nothing," She whispered sadly. Why can't I ever be truthful about who I really am? She asked herself in despair.

Blink looked at her still courise but gave her a comforting smile "If your sure." he said in a way that told you he'd listen if needed. Blink was good that way.

Jeremy was in the kitchen, preparing to make the cake and some random food stuff. But he was following the conversation. "What's up?" he caled to Frankie.

"It's nothing," She muttered. Her watch beeped a few times. "Oh, crap." She hissed angrily. "I'm late..." She whimpered the last part.

Chris looked up at her "Late? For what?" he asked.

Blink hurryed to the back where the laundry was.

"For the party," She told them, running around like an insane person.

"But the cake's only half done!" Jeremy protested. It was going to be a damn god cake too! Oh, the tragedy.

"Your clothes are just drying to. It will take at least half an hour." he told her, it actualy probably take an hour but he didn't want her freaking out to much.

Tilly frowned "Can't you call and tell them you'll be a little late. You have a perfectly good excuse."

Frankie stopped suddenly, staring blankly at Tilly. "But I don't speak cat." The words poured out of her mouth so suddenly, that she smacked her hand over it without even thinking. She felt her cheeks burn up with a blush.

Jeremy paused. "Cat? This is about a damn cat?" he asked incredulously, not quite understanding why she was going to a cat's party.

Chris frowned at her "Why would you need to speak cat to go to a party?" he asked, not really understanding at all.

Tilly looked at her "Cat? Who's this party for anyway?"

Blink looked at her couriuse.

Frankie sighed. "Yes, it's for my cat. I know, I know, it's weird but..., She was my first friend after getting kicked out of my parent's house. If it wasn't for her, I wouldn't have a place to stay." She told them, rubbing the back of her neck. "Well, maybe I should explain this better..."

Jeremy nodded in agreement. "Maybe." He looked on expectantly.

Chris and Blink nodded thier agreement in union and Tilly sat quietly, wating.

"Not too long ago when I was kicked out of my house in the pouring rain I spotted a cat. She was very pretty but extremely dirty. I scooped her up in my arms, and she meowed. Now, I really didn't know why I did this, but I guess it was just fate working it's magic. Anyway, I took what little money I had and fed it. As I started to walk away, it gave a sort of calling meow. I turned around, not quite sure what to think. It started off, but turned around, nodding its small head. Wasn't sure what that meant, but I followed it.
"When we finally got where we were going the cat had led me to a cheap place(apartment) with job openings. I work there and for that reason alone I'm able to stay. So, I kept the cat, named her Serpent and we've been stuck in that apartment ever since." Frankie smiled thoughtfully and leaned back in her chair. "Weird story, huh? I took her to a vet, and she said Serpent was probably born around this date."

"Eh, that's great. Weird, but great." Well, that explains the fish-shaped cake, he though to himself. It was a neat story thoug, and Jeremy liked it.

Tilly raised a brow but shruged "Nice story. I don't think its wierd having a birthday for a cat. I use to do the same thing with my dog." she said.

Blink smiled at her "thats cool. It was nice of you to take the cat it." he looked around the house "if i can figure out where my cat went I can bring him to your cats birday party. Then serpent will have a freind." he told her.

Chris smiled "Cool story..a bit odd yes, but cool none the less." he told her. He'd never had a pet but he'd wagger if he did he'd probaly do the same thing. Miniuse a cake.

Frankie smiled. "Thank-you for understanding." She said happily. "And yes, anyone is welcome to this small party. Not much food, but it's still nice to have company!"

Jeremy shook his head, sliding a rathe dodgey-looking fish cake into the oven. Okay, he wasn't good at fish. But the cake would taste okay.

Blink laughed "ITs fine. I think I'm giong to try and hunt up Patches." he said and left to search for the missing cat.

"So how old is your cat?" she asked, she wasn't interested but it seemed like the right thing to ask.

"About 2, about 14 in cat years." Frankie said. "She was a little older that a kitten when I found her. That was a year ago. Can't believe it's been this long...." She slumped down in her chair, eyes downcast.

Jeremy sighed. He went over to Frankie's side and put a tentative hand on her shoulder. In his experience a sigh meant sad.

Blink frowned wondering what saddened her "Whats the matter?" he asked softly.

Tilly looked over at them courisly

"I dunno," Frankie started. "I guess I just miss my parents..." She straightened up though. "But no way in hell am I going to no damn law school!"

"Law school? If only anyone had as high expectations for me. I don't even have that potential," Jeremy laughed. He wanted, in truth, to escape the weird feelings he was picking up.

Blink smiled "Well, do want you want to in life I supose. Did they kick you out or somthing?"

"Law school? If only I was that smart." Chris siad in thought.

Tily shruged "I'm working for the goverment in some way or another but i'm not going to law school."

"All my life I've always wanted to be...," Frankie trailed off. "Well, I never wanted to go to law school, but since I was their only child they wanted me to be able to take care of them in their old age..., I can get a degree and everything, so I'm pretty much set but..., Well it's not my passion!" She told them, a new sort of fire burning in her words.

Jeremy liked the new tone Frankie's voice had taken on. "What is you passion then?" he asked, curious to find out.

Blink sat on the arm of the couch to listen to her answer.

Tilly listened to, but not nearly with the same intest.
